In short: Deenlumo does not collect any personal data. The app has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it sends nothing to us. If you subscribe to Deenlumo Family, Apple handles the purchase: we receive no payment details and no personal data. What your child does in the app stays on your device, and you can erase it at any time.

Who we are
Deenlumo is an educational app for children aged 6 to 8, made by [Developer legal name, country] TO CONFIRM (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to information when your family uses the app. It applies to the Deenlumo app and to this website.
What we don’t collect
We do not collect, receive, store, share or sell any personal data about you or your child. In particular, the app:
- has no account or login, and never asks for a name, email, birth date, photo or any free text;
- does not send anything to us or to any third party. When it opens, or when you come back to it, the app asks iOS whether Deenlumo Family is active. iOS answers on the device, from App Store information it keeps up to date with Apple. When a grown-up views the plans, buys or restores, iOS talks directly to Apple’s App Store. Nothing goes to us (see Purchases);
- contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting tools and no other third-party software that collects data;
- does not track your child, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not build profiles for advertising;
- asks for no permissions: no camera, microphone, photos, location or contacts;
- has no chat, no sharing and no social features. The only links out of the app (manage subscription, privacy policy, terms of use) are in the grown-ups area, behind the grown-ups check.
What stays on your device
To work, the app saves a small amount of information only on your iPhone or iPad, in the app’s own private storage. We cannot see it.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Settings: app and learning language, voice, music and effects volume, “No music”, calmer animations, optional daily limit | So the app remembers your choices |
| Children on this device (up to 3): a random code made on the device and the explorer picture each child chose. No names. | So each child has their own progress |
| Progress: stars, garden decorations, finished and saved adventures, and answers to activities (right or not yet, with the time) | To save progress and choose review activities |
| Learning suggestions worked out from that progress | So Lumo can suggest what to practise next. This is done on the device and is never shared. |
| Minutes played each day | For break reminders and the optional daily limit |
| Subscription status: whether Deenlumo Family is active, which plan, and its dates. No Apple Account, no payment details, no transaction number and nothing about a child. | So Deenlumo Family keeps working offline until the App Store can be checked again |
Lumo’s voice uses the speech engine built into iOS on your device. The app does not listen to or record anything. Sound effects are copied from the app into a temporary folder on the device so they play smoothly. They contain no information about your child.
Deleting your child’s information
- Reset one child: Grown-ups area › “Reset this child’s progress” erases that child’s stars, garden and learning progress.
- Remove one child: Grown-ups area › Children on this device › Remove. This erases that child’s stars, garden, saved adventures and play time.
- Erase everything: delete the Deenlumo app from the device. All of its saved information is removed with it.
Because we never receive any data, there is nothing stored with us to access, correct or delete. You stay in full control on your device.
Device backups (iCloud or computer)
If you back up your iPhone or iPad with iCloud Backup or to a computer, iOS includes the app’s saved information in that backup, just as it does for other apps. These backups are made by Apple’s iOS and stored under your Apple Account or on your computer. We have no access to them. Deleting the app does not change backups you made earlier. When you restore a device from an older backup, that backup’s progress can come back. You can manage iCloud backups in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud.
Purchases (Deenlumo Family)
Deenlumo is free to download. Deenlumo Family is an optional, auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the whole purchase: payment, your Apple Account, billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds.
- We do not receive your payment details, name, email address or Apple Account. We run no server, and the app sends us no purchase records.
- Through iOS, Apple tells the app on your device only whether a subscription is active, which plan and its dates. The app keeps just that on the device (see the table above). Deleting the app removes it; the subscription itself stays with your Apple Account.
- Apple gives developers sales reports that do not identify you.
- Plans and prices appear only in the grown-ups area, behind the grown-ups check. Children never see a price or a purchase button.
Deenlumo Family is sold under Apple’s standard licence agreement: Terms of Use (EULA).
Apple
You download Deenlumo from Apple’s App Store, and Apple handles the download and any purchase under Apple’s privacy policy. If you have chosen in iOS Settings to “Share with App Developers”, Apple may give developers crash reports and anonymous usage statistics. That choice is yours, Apple controls it, and you can turn it off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements. We receive no payment details.
Children’s privacy
Deenlumo is made for children, so we built it to collect nothing at all.
- United States (COPPA): we do not collect personal information from children under 13, including persistent identifiers, so no parental consent is needed for data collection. The grown-ups check in the app keeps children out of settings. It is not a form of parental consent.
- European Union and EEA (GDPR, including the rules for children in Article 8): we do not process personal data about you or your child. The information described above stays on your device under your control.
- United Kingdom (UK GDPR and the Age Appropriate Design Code): settings are private by default, there is no data sharing, no location, no advertising and no profiling for any purpose other than the on-device learning suggestions described above, and no design tricks to make children play longer.
- The app follows Apple’s rules for the App Store Kids category: no third-party analytics or ads, and grown-up actions, including purchases and links out of the app, sit behind a grown-ups check.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no trackers and no outside fonts or scripts. Nothing on it asks for personal information.
- The mini game on the home page runs entirely in your browser. It saves nothing and sends nothing.
- The share buttons on blog articles are plain links. Nothing is loaded from those services unless you click one, and then that service's own privacy policy applies.
- Our hosting provider, o2switch (France), may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP addresses) for security for a short time. We do not use them to identify anyone.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add a feature that changes how information is handled, we will update this policy before that version is released, change the date at the top, and explain the change in the grown-ups area of the app.
